Kirabelle Frabotta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Music from Wayne State University and has performed onstage in productions with The Wild Swan Theater in Ann Arbor, Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company, Breathe Art Theatre, Happenstance Productions, Andiamo Showplace, The Bonstelle Theatre, The Detroit Puppet Theatre, and The Detroit Opera House, to name a few. She has traveled to Austria, the Czech Republic, and Hungary with the prestigious International Scholar Laureate Program in celebration of Mozart's 250th anniversary, has studied Shakespeare in Stratford, Ontario and Scottish fiddle and Highland Dance at the Ohio Scottish Arts School at Oberlin College.
In addition to her stage appearances (professional, college, and community) and her leading and feature roles in independent film, commercial spots, and puppeteer character voices, Kira is also a certified Highland Dance Teacher Member with the B.A.T.D. (British Association of Teacher's of Dance, traveling to competitions throughout the U.S. and Canada, and Scotland. Kira has also choreographed musicals, served as musical director for stage productions, has eight years experience working as a stage tech - stage managing, and crewing with a professional theatre company, teaches voice and movement workshops as well as children's theatre and has earned two Outstanding Leading Actress / Musical PAGE (Press & Guide Entertainment) Awards for her leading lady theatrical work in "Cabaret" as Sally Bowles and in "Once On This Island" as Ti Moune.
For nearly six years, Kirabelle has performed in front of an International audience as a vocalist in a 'period' performance ensemble trio and medley entertainers, (The Greenfield Singers) at The Henry Ford - (Greenfield Village), in Henry Ford's home town of Dearborn, Michigan and as a caroler for 'Holiday Nights.'
Ms. Frabotta's film credits include femme fatale, Jackie Turnsdale in "The Private Eyes of Lou Manteca," Mrs. Dottin in "World of Art", The Dancer in "The Next Step", all films having received local, national, and international honors including 'Best of Show' and various awards at several Festivals. Other credits include roles in multiple short films as well as local and national commercial spots and live television performances.
